Searching for People, Clubs, Adverts and Articles is performed by specifying a Pursuit and a UK Location.   

1. Pursuits - A large library of Pursuits is maintained within the PU website, and this is sufficiently comprehensive to cover most interests, albeit there will always be the need to add new Pursuits.

Each new member on registering, selects one or more Pursuits from the Library for inclusion in their Profile, and it's the Pursuits in their Profile that enables us to find them when searching.

Thus, for example,  specifying "Cricket" will find all members with "Cricket" in their Profile, and who live in the Location specified - see UK Location below. 

2. UK Location - The UK Post Code system is used to register a member's geographical location in the UK. Thus, on registering, new members are asked for their Post Code. This specifies which Post Town they live in, and the Locality within the Post Town.  It doesn't indicate which street they live in, though.

When searching, either a Post Town or a Post Code can be used. Post Codes are more effective as they exactly specify a UK Location, whereas Town names may be duplicated in different Counties.
